Basically the first part of the book where Julia was at home and lived with her family made me literally want to be sick. When she and her brother were at the Dominican Republic I wanted to enter the book and yell at every single person to stop what they were doing and be nicer. Then the very end when you find out what happens after they leave and get home made me super depressed. Overall I hated the book.
Throughout the whole book nothing seemed to go right for Julia and when we thought things were maybe getting better it seemed that it would only turn to something worse than before. I don't know why we chose this book to read. Although it was slightly entertaining, it is not a book I would choose to read again.
