  1. I read The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. It is the story of a boy whose mother is killed in a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. In the chaos immediately following the explosion, the boy picks up a painting that has fallen to the floor and takes it home. That day has repercussions that drastically change his life and follow him over the next two decades. Before the story ends, the boy (now a man), the museum, the FBI and various criminal elements are struggling for possession of the missing masterpiece.

  2. I read a lot of books over the summer. I reread quite a few and read some new ones. I read books from the library. One of the books I read is called Falling Kingdoms. It is from the point of view of four different main characters. The setting is in three different kingdoms. One main character is a princess in one kingdom. The next two are a prince and princess from another kingdom. The last main character is from the kingdom between the two others and is trying to get revenge for the death of his brother. I also got the second book of the series and read that too.
